So we are going through a bit of a dwarf fruit tree phase hey. I think they are the most marvellous development in plants, enabling the humble backyard gardener access to a multitude of varieties of fruit. I am dreaming of a dwarf mulberry tree, and I would love to try something a little exotic like a black sapote. All in good time.

As the title suggests, this is a dwarf avocado, just a newbie to the garden, I bought it last week at the same time as the dwarf mango. I adore avocados... a squeeze of lemon, a twist of salt and pepper and some fresh crusty bread, and you're the envy of the staff lunchroom. A good avocado can be hard to come by though, an inexpensive one even harder. So instead of my usual low expectations, I am shooting high with this one. I am expecting avocados on tap. I'm expecting to have such an abundant crop that if one has a black spot I won't cut around it, I'll negligently toss it to the chickens. I want action.

Watch out my little green leafed friend.
